June Auction 2022 – The Results

On Tuesday 21st June 2022 Earles held our 4th land and property auction of the 2022 season at The View on a glorious summer evening. Three lots were marketed for the auction but the 0.65 acres of scrub land on Grange Lane Alvechurch was sold prior for a figure very well in excess of the guide price.

To a well filled auction room, Richard Abbey first offered for sale the 2 acres of pasture and amenity land fronting the private road to Upper Skilts Farm. Bidding came from all quarters of the room, starting at a very modest £20,000 with the gavel finally falling at £76,000, a remarkable result and the vendor was extremely pleased.

The second lot to be offered was Appletrees, a four bedroom cottage, requiring general updating throughout. With a range of buildings, 8 acres of pasture land, just off Yarningale Common. Situated in a beautiful location. The opening bid was £600,000 and after measured competition between the bidders the gable fell at £950,000. The vendor was really pleased with the result. Earles auctions this season have almost had 100% success rate, meaning the auction marketing strategy helped to develop broad interest in all the lots being offered with a result on the sales nights, excellent figures being obtained and binding contracts signed with completion in most cases set for 28 days thereafter. Our next collective land and property auction is scheduled for Tuesday 19th July 2022. Please keep an eye out on our website and facebook page for further information, detailing the lots as and when they become available.
